Measuring approximately 3" x 8.5", this delightful design features whimsical, handwritten-style typography and a heartfelt poem that perfectly captures the excitement, independence, and endless curiosity of a little girl who loves exploring the world around her.
This vellum strip features the playful poem “Tomboy” by Patsy Gaut, celebrating the fearless and fun-loving nature of adventurous little girls. The charming sentiment begins with “A little girl's will is the will of the wind; She roughhouses, tumbles and falls.” These spirited words beautifully capture the energy, determination, and enthusiasm of a girl who isn't afraid to get a little dirty while having fun.
The poem continues with delightful references to trucks, dirt, trees, baseball caps, bruises, and Tonka trucks, celebrating a childhood filled with outdoor discoveries and imaginative adventures. The whimsical words “Give her some dirt and a Tonka truck and she'll build a bridge to the stars” perfectly express the creativity and boundless imagination of a little girl who sees endless possibilities in the world around her.
The poem concludes with the sweet sentiment “A little girl's will is the will of the wind, and I'm so glad she's mine!”, adding a loving and heartfelt finishing touch. The playful black lettering and creative arrangement of decorative fonts give this design a charming, nostalgic appearance that beautifully complements childhood photographs and treasured family memories.
Printed on acid-free vellum, this translucent strip allows your photos and patterned papers to softly show through, adding layers and dimension without overpowering your design. Use it as a full overlay, a vertical journaling accent, or incorporate it into childhood scrapbooks, handmade cards, family memory albums, and other meaningful keepsakes. The classic black-and-white design coordinates beautifully with virtually any scrapbook paper collection or color palette.
